Ants are the most common pest problem in the United States. This socially complex insect can grow colonies up to tens of thousands and will infest your home in search for food and water sources.

Entry Methods:
An ant’s tiny size allows them to squeeze through the smallest cracks & crevices on your home to reach food & water sources.
Nest Locations:
Underneath or around the base of your home, in between wall voids, or in a shallow nest within the soil of your lawn. Any small covering is a perfect spot for ants to nest underneath.
Diet:
Sugary substances such as sweet honeydew produced by aphids and mealybugs. Argentine ants have also been observed to feed on nectar, fresh fruits, and buds of certain plants.
Prevention Tips:
Controlling ants is difficult once they invade your home but there are preventative techniques.
- Removing wood, mulch, or debris piles
- Reduce landscape mulch to less than 2 inches thick and at least 12 inches from the foundation
- Seal cracks & crevices on the exterior of the structure
- Cut tree branches hanging over roof
- Treat plants that are prone to aphids regularly
